Sherri Pettit, a past president of the Society, recently donated the following books to our library: Doddridge County, WV Marriages 1845-1937; Mason County, WV Marriages 1886-1900; Ritchie County, WV Marriages 1843-1915; Taylor County, WV Marriages 1853-1905; Tyler County, WV Marriages 1891-1932; Wirt County, WV Marriages 1854-1899; Belmont County, OH Marriages 1850-1870.

While Terri Hobson of Fairfax, Virginia was making funeral arrangements for Joan Cooley Bedinger, she mentioned to Eldora McCoy of Spring Hill Cemetery that she had a 1924 Huntington High School Yearbook that had belonged to Mrs. Bedinger's parents, George and Esther (Payne) Cooley. George Cooley had graduated in 1924. Terri had no idea what to do with this yearbook. Eldora quickly thought about KYOWVA and Terri was happy to donate it. when this editor visited the cemetery requesting information on the Fishbach burials, Eldora presented the yearbook "with pleasure, I present this year book to the KYOWVA Genealogical Society on behalf of Terri Hobson for Joan Cooley Bedinger. Eldora McCoy, Spring Hill Cemetery." Thumbing through the book, a picture of Howard Fischbach was located. (Please see page 10 of our Fall 2008 Newsletter). KYOWVA wishes thank Eldora McCoy for thinking of us and Terri Hobson for donating this excellent piece of history.
